Unitek provides comprehensive hazardous and regulated waste management services, including waste identification and characterization, sampling coordination, waste profiling, DOT classification, packaging, marking and labeling, manifest preparation, transportation, and final treatment or disposal. We manage a wide range of waste streams, including flammable, corrosive, toxic and reactive wastes; contaminated fuels and petroleum products; industrial chemicals; PCB-containing materials; solids, liquids, sludges, and other regulated and specialty wastes.
Unitek maintains an extensive inventory of UN-rated, DOT-compliant packaging and specialized waste-handling equipment to support both bulk and non-bulk operations. Our teams perform containerization, consolidation, repackaging, pumping and bulk transfers, secondary containment, and preparation for shipment. We coordinate with ocean carriers, freight providers, recyclers, and approved Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs) to identify compliant transportation and disposal options, including managing dangerous-goods requirements and the unique challenges associated with off-island waste shipments from Guam and the Pacific.
From initial characterization through final disposition, Unitek provides clients with a complete and documented waste-management solution. We coordinate facility acceptance, transportation, shipment tracking, and applicable manifests, shipping records, recycling documentation, and certificates of treatment or disposal. Our goal is to provide every client with a safe, compliant, and practical path for managing waste from the point of generation through final disposition.

Emergency Spill Response
Unitek provides 24/7 environmental emergency and spill response for petroleum products, hazardous chemicals, industrial materials, and other regulated substances released on land or water. Our experienced HAZMAT teams respond to incidents ranging from localized spills and leaking containers to compromised tanks, transportation incidents, fuel releases, and larger-scale environmental emergencies. Response activities may include site assessment, source control, containment, product recovery and transfer, decontamination, environmental sampling, and coordination with regulatory agencies and other emergency-response organizations.
Unitek maintains specialized response equipment and materials on Guam to support rapid mobilization and field operations, including vacuum trucks, hydrovac (hydro-excavation) units, tanker trailers, pumps, response vessels, oil skimmers, containment and absorbent boom, secondary containment systems, air-monitoring equipment, and Level A through Level D personal protective equipment, as well as heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other earth-moving machinery to support excavation, recovery, and site remediation. Our capabilities allow us to recover liquids and contaminated materials, perform emergency pump-outs and transfers, conduct vacuum and hydrovac excavation, protect storm drains and surface waters, establish containment, and manage cleanup operations in industrial, marine, commercial, and government environments.
Our response capability extends from initial containment through recovery, cleanup, waste management, and final disposition. Unitek's trained HAZMAT responders work within established incident-command and site-safety requirements while maintaining appropriate sampling, chain-of-custody, operational, and disposal documentation. Recovered fuels, contaminated water, soil, absorbents, debris, and other response-generated wastes can be characterized, packaged, transported, recycled, treated, or disposed of through appropriate facilities—providing clients with a coordinated environmental response from the initial call through project closeout.
