Unitek Environmental Guam began operations in 1988, initially supporting the U.S. Navy with hazardous waste packaging, transportation, and disposal services. More than 38 years later, Unitek has grown into one of the Pacific region’s most experienced and diversified environmental and industrial service providers, delivering turn-key solutions to federal, military, local government, commercial, and private-sector clients.
Headquartered in Guam, our work extends throughout the Western Pacific, including the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Hawaii, Wake Island, Midway, and Kwajalein. Our experience in remote island environments has given us a practical understanding of the regulatory, logistical, transportation, climatic, and infrastructure challenges that can make environmental projects in the Pacific uniquely complex.

Unitek provides integrated services spanning the entire project lifecycle—from initial assessment and regulatory planning through field operations, waste characterization, packaging, transportation, treatment and disposal, remediation, and final documentation.
Our capabilities include hazardous and regulated waste management, used oil recovery and recycling, petroleum and industrial services, spill and emergency response, tank and vessel cleaning, environmental investigations and remediation, air and water quality compliance, asbestos and lead-based paint services, UXO/MEC operations, environmental consulting, and specialized waste transportation and logistics.
Unitek manages approximately one million pounds of hazardous and regulated waste annually and has extensive experience coordinating waste movement from Guam and remote Pacific islands to approved recycling, treatment, and disposal facilities. Our team understands that successful waste management in an island environment requires more than packaging material for shipment. It requires proper characterization, regulatory compliance, compatible transportation routes, carrier approvals, transshipment planning, receiving-facility acceptance, and complete cradle-to-grave documentation.
Our petroleum and industrial capabilities are supported by specialized equipment and a fleet that includes vacuum trucks, pumps, heavy equipment, spill-response resources, and more than 60 intermodal ISO tanks with capacities of up to approximately 6,000 gallons. These resources allow Unitek to respond to projects ranging from routine waste collection and industrial maintenance to large-volume liquid waste, fuel, wastewater, sludge, tank-cleaning, and emergency-response operations.

Unitek's multidisciplinary team includes environmental scientists and consultants, hazardous materials and waste specialists, UXO/MEC professionals, project and program managers, field supervisors, equipment operators, logistics personnel, and environmental technicians. Our personnel are supported by specialized subcontractors, laboratories, treatment and disposal facilities, transportation providers, and technical partners when additional expertise is required.
This depth of resources allows us to execute complex, multidisciplinary projects while remaining responsive enough to support smaller or unusual assignments requiring rapid mobilization and specialized solutions.
Federal, Military & Commercial Experience
For decades, Unitek has supported projects for the U.S. military, federal and local government agencies, major contractors, utilities, maritime operations, industrial facilities, and commercial businesses.
Our experience includes environmental compliance and investigation; hazardous waste and spill response; petroleum and fuel-related projects; industrial cleaning; wastewater and sludge management; asbestos and lead remediation; and UXO/MEC projects requiring coordination with Joint Region Marianas and compliance with applicable Explosive Safety Submission requirements.
We understand that successful project execution means more than completing fieldwork.
